The purpose of this project is to develop a comprehensive Downtown Metropolitan Development Area (MRA) Master Plan and an Arts and Cultural District (ACD) Master Plan for the benefit of the Governmental Unit and its citizens. Both will be standalone plans.  The Gallup City Council approved Resolution No. R2014-44 on December 9, 2014 thereby approving a Downtown Metropolitan Redevelopment Area Designation Report making the City eligible to apply for a New Mexico Finance Authority planning grant which NMFA conditionally approved. An Arts and Cultural District assessment was also performed in May of 2014.
