These STREAM workshops for elementary and mid-school aged students explore topics in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Making.  Celebrate International Creativity Month by discovering the National Inventors Hall of Fame. • January 2nd - Pocket Flashlight (Virtual)
  • Explore the world of electricity as you invent a flashlight, then create an on/off switch for it! Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-served basis using the Supply Request Form at ofpl.online.
• January 9th - Yo Ho Ho, Let’s Build a Pirate Ship!
  • What can you turn a giant cardboard box into?  The answer is…anything!  Join us for a collaborative and open-ended design as we build something amazing from a giant cardboard box.
• January 16th - Candy Creations (Virtual)
  • Celebrate the creativity of culinary arts with chocolate! This fun activity lets you test your candy chemistry by melting chocolate and drizzling it into a delightful design.
• January 23rd - Solar-Powered Mini House
  • Explore the power of clean energy by repurposing a shoebox to design a solar-powered mini house!
• January 30th - Catching Air
  • Explore gravity and friction as you design your own mini skatepark, then challenge your friends to navigate your course!
