The new City of Gallup Dog Park opened to the public during Summer 2012. The park is located at 801 South Second Street in Gallup, and features separate lighted play areas for small and large dogs, as well as animal drinking fountains in both play areas.

The park is open daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm through October 31. Prior to visiting the park, we ask that you observe the rules as listed below.

Please note: Aggressive dogs are not permitted on premises.
Dogs must be removed at the first signs of aggression.

Dog Park Rules

• Dog park use is at your own risk.
• Dogs must have current vaccinations and city license.
• All owners must clean up after dog.
• Excessive barking is not permitted.
• Owners must be with dogs at all times.
• Limit of three (3) dogs per person. Owners must have a leash for each dog.
• Dogs must be collared.
• Infants and toddlers not recommended.
• Dogs must be on a leash coming in and out of the park.
• Children under 14 not permitted unless accompanied by an adult.
• No glass containers or alcohol in park.
• No food is allowed in park.
• Weapons of any kind not permitted.
• Dogs must be spayed or neutered.
• No lingering within or around dog park if you are not accompanied by a dog.
