We appreciate the involvement and support of local residents to help make Gallup a safer community. There are a number of programs available to citizens to work cooperatively with the Gallup Police Department:

• D.A.R.E. - Our Drug Abuse Resistance and Awareness Education program is geared towards elementary school students.
• Junior Police Academy - This program is designed to motivate participants to be outstanding citizens through law enforcement education.
• Ride-A-Long - Program. Ride with the Gallup Police Department during a patrol shift and experience what police officers encounter during their duties.
